School Website Page Redesign

School Website Redesign project showing the UBALT interface design

Project Overview

A redesign project where we tackled a section of the university website to make it more appealing to prospective students and easier to navigate. We did research, built and tested prototypes, and put together a fully interactive design.

Key Features

  • In-depth research of initial design and competitor websites
  • Paper prototyping and user testing
  • Fully interactive Figma prototype
  • Iterative design process
  • Interactive quiz for personalized user guidance

Project Details

We started by looking at the existing design, checking out other school websites, and figuring out what could be better.

Then we made paper prototypes and tested them with real users. Their feedback shaped how we built the final Figma prototype.

The main feature of our redesign was an interactive quiz. It helps prospective students find the most relevant sections of the website based on their interests and personality.

My Role

I was one of the two people who built out the Figma prototype. I mainly focused on:

  • Implementing the logic behind the interactive elements
  • Creating and configuring buttons throughout the prototype
  • Designing and implementing most of the user interactions

This hands-on experience with Figma's advanced features allowed me to create a highly interactive and engaging prototype that accurately represented our vision for the redesigned website.

Outcome

We ended up with a website section that's easier to use and more engaging. The quiz makes navigation simpler and gives each prospective student a personalized experience to help them find what they're looking for.
